Aleksandar Vu?i? - President of Serbia Inspects the Construction Site of E763 Expressway

On August 21 local time, his Excellency Aleksandar Vu?i?- President of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovi?- Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure of Serbia, former President Tomislv Nikolic, and many other politicians from Serbia inspected the construction site of SURCIN—OBRENOVAC Section of E763 Expressway undertaken by CRBC in the company of Li Manchang- Chinese Ambassador to Serbia and Tang Xiaodong- Secretary of Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in Serbia. Nearly 100 local media reporters and reporters of Xinhua News Agency and CCTV in Serbia reported this event.

After listening to the report on Project, President Aleksandar Vu?i? extended his gratitude to CRBC for the contributions made in Serbia, and noted that he was satisfied with the progress. Meanwhile, he noted that, with long-standing friendship with each other, China and Serbia have not only established good political partnership, but also developed increasingly close economic cooperation that will last forever. In his speech, President Aleksandar Vu?i? mentioned the expressway projects and Chinese Industrial Park currently undertaken by CRBC, and noted that Serbia will continue to enhance the cooperation with CRBC on infrastructure and investment projects.

Vice Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovi? highly praised that the Project is an excellent model for the cooperation between China and Serbia on infrastructures, and that it is the project with the most remarkable progress among existing projects in Serbia that complies with the European standards in terms of management, quality and safety.

The former President Tomislv Nikolic spoke highly of CRBC’s outstanding capacity in project management and quality control. During his tenure, he always attached great importance to the relationship between China and Serbia, and visited the Zemun-Bolza Bridge to celebrate the closure of the main span. In addition, he repeatedly emphasized that Zemun-Bolza Bridge is the most satisfied bridge in his career.

Ambassador Li Manchang noted that, today, numerous governmental officials visited and inspected E763 Expressway under the leadership of Present and Former Presidents of Serbia, which fully demonstrating the great significance of the Project to Serbia, and even the whole Balkan Region. It is the greatest honor for Chinese enterprises in Serbia to receive great attention from the president on China-Serbia cooperation. He further noted that the Embassy will spare no efforts to promote the further development of China-Serbia relations. Ambassador Li Manchang also delivered the telegram message by President Xi Jinping, in which, President Xi Jinping extended his gratitude to President Aleksandar Vu?i?’s concerns about the Project and China, and looked forward the further development of China-Serbia relations.

Currently, SURCIN-OBRENOVAC Section of E763 Expressway is smoothly progressed, and will be completed and handed over in the beginning of 2020 as per the contract.
